[BRACKETED] placeholder (operator name, contact email, jurisdiction, region, hosting provider) and have a lawyer review this page for your situation, especially children's privacy (COPPA / UK & EU rules) and, once payments go live, consumer and refund law. Delete this box when done. These Terms govern your use of Typoclysm (the "Service"), a typing game operated by Perseus Solutions ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country to use online services without a parent's consent, if higher). If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. The Service is designed for use on a computer with a physical keyboard; gameplay is not supported on phones or tablets.
Leaderboards, ratings and rewards only mean something if they are earned honestly. You agree not to:
We may correct, remove or reset scores, ratings, coins, titles and cosmetics obtained this way, and suspend or close accounts involved. Results are validated by our servers; if a result can't be verified, we may not count it.
You keep ownership of what you submit (such as your display name and any profile picture). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display it in the Service (for example on leaderboards and match screens). Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use, or anything unlawful or offensive.
The game, its design, code, artwork, sounds, music and branding belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial play. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build competing services from it, except where the law allows.
The Service is provided as is and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Features marked "coming soon" (such as Tournaments) are plans, not promises. Seasons, ratings and leaderboards may be reset as the game evolves. We may update these Terms; if the changes are material we'll give notice in the Service, and continuing to use it afterwards means you accept them.
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or harm the Service or other players.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost progress or virtual items, or for losses beyond what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, while the Service is free, is nothing). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Utah, and courts there have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. Questions or reports: info@typoclysm.com.
